
Chels at Narrow Crafts does it again with a great concert review and (brief) interview with You Say Party! We Say Die!
So I scored a couple of tickets to see Vancouver’s You Say Party! We Say Die! do an acoustic set at a local radio staion. I was pretty pumped for this intimate set, and YSP!WSD! delivered. Not really surprised.
I was privy to a most amazing experience tonight. I got to sit, like a fly on a wall (almost literally) to Basia Bulat’s soundcheck at Hotel Utah in San Francisco, CA. After listening to, and trying to keep my cool during, an almost private screening of “Snakes and Ladders,” I thought I was going to lose my cool. Luckily, I escaped with only a mild scolding from the tour manager as I was buying Basia’s new CD, Heart of My Own.

Joel Plaskett swept the East Coast Music Awards stage in a multiple of threes as the iconic rocker’s triple-disc album ‘Three’ earned him six ECMA awards out of his leading eight nominations.

Alt-county songstress Neko Case is starring in a new show for Adult Swim that recently won a fan vote to be picked up for a full season. The show is titled Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge and Case provides the voice of the titular character, who according to show creator Dave Willis is “a Strawberry Shortcake pop princess that lives in a candy wonderland just outside of Detroit. She comes into Detroit and helps solve problems of racism and teen pregnancy with the power of love and teen pop songs.”
